Cannibal XC Bio-based
Elite's latest addition to the range is the Cannibal XC cage, crafted using bio-plastics derived from castor beans.
Our objective is to develop a production model for our cages that prioritizes sustainability by utilizing renewable sources. The Cannibal XC cage, derived from bio-based materials, predominantly utilizes a sustainable polymer sourced from castor beans instead of relying on industrial fossil fuels. This innovative approach reduces our dependence on fossil resources while maintaining the same level of impact resistance.
This cage is reinforced with fiberglass construction for durability and wraps completely around the bottle for security with an elastomer section to allow the cage to automatically adjust for different bottle shapes.
A more sustainable production model
Business need to acknowledge their responsibilities when it comes to global pollution, and Elite wants to act accordingly. We have decided early on to do everything in our power to reduce our ecological and carbon footprint. We are excited to start new strategies to provide our customers with more ecological friendly products and raw materials of excellent quality for resistance and durability.
Elite’s Cannibal XC Bio-Based is made from more than 43% of bio-based plastics that are sourced from renewable sources, particularly castor beans. We decided to make use of bioplastics and biomass feedstocks for production as a more circular solution to conventional plastics made from petrol.

With compact road geometry, suspension hardware or bikepacking kit all competing for space on modern bikes, the Cannibal XC Bio-Based is ideal for making the most of your loadout with its huge entry point that allows the insertion of bottles at a wide variety of angles. This is a smart way to minimize the space required for carrying a bottle even during the most intense riding efforts.
The bottle cage’s structure wraps completely around the bottle for security with an elastomer section to allow the cage to automatically adjust for different bottle shapes.
The first that adapts to the bottle
The cage’s design features a front structure made to fully embrace the bottle and improve bottle retention even in challenging conditions, such as high-speed descents, rough terrains or off-road paths.
The bottle cage’s front elastomer section self-adjusts to bottle diameter and makes it perfect for bottles of different sizes.
Cannibal XC Bio-Based is compatible with all frames and is particularly suited for bikes with sloping frames and smaller triangle geometry.
